Leadership
Karim Haddad
Profile
Karim Haddad is Group Chief Executive Officer of Tavra Group. He is responsible for group strategy, operating performance and the development of Tavra’s advisory and operating businesses across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Karim joined Tavra in 2012 as a strategy partner and became chief executive in 2018. Before Tavra, Karim worked in corporate strategy and operational improvement for a regional consumer and industrial group. His assignments covered market entry, post-acquisition integration, distribution economics and manufacturing performance. That experience shaped his view that strategic choices must be tested against the practical capacity of people, processes and capital. At Tavra, Karim has led multi-business transformations and launch programmes for investors, manufacturers, service networks and institutions. He established the Group Performance Council, which reviews financial results alongside customer, operating, people and risk indicators. He also sponsors Tavra’s leadership-development programme and supports the managing directors of the group’s operating units. Karim regularly works with boards and executive teams on portfolio choices, governance and execution. He is known for simplifying large agendas into a small number of accountable decisions and for challenging growth plans that are not supported by operating evidence.
