Safwa Packaging Portfolio Review

  • Case Study
  • Holding and investment
  • 2024

Overview

Safwa asked Tavra Group to establish a comparable view of portfolio performance and identify practical value-creation priorities. The review covered commercial mix, plant utilisation, procurement, working capital, management capability and capital requests across three businesses.

Challenge

Each company reported performance differently and used separate assumptions for capacity, margin and investment returns. Board discussions focused on monthly variance rather than value-creation choices. Capital requests were reviewed individually without a common threshold or portfolio view.
